  • Cultural Immersion
  • Spend a day immersing yourself in the beauty of Buenos Aires, accompanied by a knowledgeable private guide. Most visitors to Buenos Aires are struck by the fact that it boasts the glamour of a European city, and nowhere is this more palpable than in Palermo and Recoleta. Your day begins at the splendid Plaza San Martin, right in the heart of Buenos Aires. Designed by French landscape architect Carlos Thays, the plaza is surrounded by some of Buenos Aires’ most impressive public structures. Drink in your surrounds as you drive along Alvear Avenue, a sort of smaller-scale Champs Elysées, up to Recoleta cemetery, where generations of the Argentine elite have been buried, including Eva ‘Evita’ Peron. From here, the journey continues north to Palermo, lined with colonial mansions and cafés, restaurants and boutiques and further divided into trendy, creative, chic and cool areas called Palermo Soho, Palermo Hollywood and Palermo Viejo. Your tour concludes driving down the Avenida 9 de Julio, one of the widest boulevards in the world. En-route, your private guide will introduce you to the spectacular 19th-century Teatro Colón, home to one of the most lavish interiors in the world.

  • Pedal Through the Past
  • Embark on an exploration of magnificent San Telmo and La Boca, two of Buenos Aires' most beloved neighborhoods. San Telmo is without question one of the trendiest quarters of the city thanks to its cool, bohemian atmosphere and famed antique shops. Plaza Dorrego is the place to be on Sundays to find anything from antiques, memorabilia, second-hand clothes to dusty magazines during its traditional Antiques Fair. Next, set out to experience La Boca, arguably one of the city's most authentic neighborhoods. La Boca's history was largely shaped by immigrants who established themselves within this gritty port-side barrio. A working-class district, La Boca has jealously guarded its identity, of which soccer and tango are major ingredients. What will strike you immediately is the peculiar architecture, especially along Caminito Street, which in 1959 was declared an outdoor museum. It is the work of one of Argentina’s most famous painters and neighborhood philanthropists, Quinquela Martín. He gathered neighbors to paint the houses, made out of tin and scrap metal, in bright colors, emulating the early immigrants. The most recognizable icon, though, is La Bombonera (the Chocolate Box), right in the heart of the area and home of the Boca Juniors, the country’s largest soccer club.

  • A Bit of Time on Your Own
  • Nestled in northern Buenos Aires, the sophisticated neighborhood of Recoleta is rich with opulent architecture and historic structures made for exploring during a day at leisure. Mixed in with its elegant remnants of yesteryear and homes of the rich and powerful are a wealth of indie boutique and designer stores. Recoleta's must-see site is its world-famous cemetery, home to thousands of above-ground mausoleums representing Art Deco, Gothic and Art Nouveau styles. The cemetery serves as the final resting place for Argentina's legendary Evita Peron. After your visit, unwind at Plaza Francia, an ideal place to settle in on a park bench and indulge in an ice cream or peruse unique creations during the weekend craft market. To soak in the cultural scene, opt to visit the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes to see its impressive inventory of paintings from the likes of Rembrandt, Titian, and Monet. Stop by the Libreria El Ateneo Grand Splendid, a former cinema transformed into one of the most beautiful bookstores in the world. As night falls, be sure to visit Recoleta's limitless collection of enticing bars and restaurants.
  • Buenos Aires may well be the best place in the world to catch an exclusive tango show, and the nightly performance at Café de Los Angelitos may well be the best in the city. This evening, enjoy a special night out as you are picked up from your hotel by a private driver and a bilingual guide, setting out for Café de Los Angelitos. Take in an intimate tango performance led by local dancers, all while enjoying a gourmet dinner consisting of grilled local meats, international dishes and excellent Argentinian wines. A sensory experience capturing the essence of Buenos Aires tango and gastronomy - this will be a night to remember.

  • Taste and Tipple on a Vineyard Visit
  • No varietal is more synonymous with the Argentine palate than the full-bodied Malbec. A rarity in modern European vineyards, the Bordeaux grape has invited modern Argentine winemakers to experiment while the altitude of the Andes also influences this much-beloved red wine. Spend a day with a knowledgeable private guide immersing yourself in the story of Malbec and discovering firsthand how this dark, sensuous libation became the country's signature red wine. Your first visit is to Luigi Bosca Winery, where the winemaking tradition of Mendoza meets state-of-the-art innovation. Taste a selection of different wines amid oak barrels and discover the meaning behind "Via Crucis del Vino". The adventure continues to the south bank of Mendoza in Agrelo where the Bodega Achaval Ferrer welcomes you with high-quality wines. Tour the estate and sample the varietal that has become emblematic to Argentine. Your final stop is Dominio del Plata, a medium-sized winery known for their four major brands - Crios, BenMarco, Susana Balbo, and Nosotros. Visit the tasting room to become acquainted with the estate's Malbec before indulging in a delicious lunch, carefully paired with wines. • Today you will experience the Argentine side of Iguazu Falls from Misiones, the area which borders Brazil. After being picked up by your English-speaking guide, you will be transferred to Iguassu National Park to board a small intra-park train to the first above-water platforms. Marvel at the scenery as you wind your way along this intricate path system to the imposing “Garganta del Diabo” (in Spanish) or Devil's Throat. This awe-inspiring section of the falls funnels 50 percent of the overall flow into a narrow section, letting out a deep roar and a huge amount of mist. While the Devil’s Throat is closer to the Brazilian side, the Argentinians created an expansive and elevated walkway in order to allow visitors to position themselves right above the action! At the end of the tour you will be returned to your hotel.
  • This afternoon, get ready for the ultimate Iguassu Falls experience as you enjoy a boat ride that will get you up close and personal with this incredible natural wonder! After a short off-road truck ride through the jungle, descend about 250 steps to a dock to board a small speedboat and start your exciting ride. Zip over rapids through the Iguassu River Canyon and get tantalizingly close to several waterfalls, including the Three Musketeers, the Devil’s Throat and San Martin falls. Hold on to your seats, next you’re headed straight under the falls for a refreshing shower! From there you’ll truly be able to feel the raw, natural power of the thundering water first-hand. Expect to get wet on this one of a kind experience. Dry bags will be provided for your personal belongings (clothes, shoes, phones, cameras etc.) to reduce the risk of damage or loss. Ponchos, jackets, towels or other personal waterproof gear is not provided. It is highly recommended that you bring a change of clothes or waterproof clothing to better enjoy the rest of your afternoon.
