This Mediterranean gem is a feast for the senses, with a wealth of sights, sounds, and flavors that are sure to leave you enchanted. From its sparkling coastline to its fascinating old town, Antalya has something for everyone. Whether you're a history buff, a beach bum, or a foodie, you'll find plenty to love in this enchanting city.

Explore the Old Town (Kaleiçi)

Start your journey by wandering through the winding streets of Kaleiçi, Antalya's historic old town. You'll feel like you've stepped back in time as you pass by centuries-old Ottoman-era buildings, ornate fountains, and ancient Roman ruins. Make sure to visit the Hadrian's Gate, the Clock Tower, and the Hidirlik Tower, all of which are excellent examples of the city's rich history.

Visit the Antalya Museum

For a deeper dive into Antalya's past, head to the Antalya Museum. This impressive institution houses a vast collection of artifacts from the ancient civilizations that once called this area home, including the Lycians, Greeks, and Romans. Be sure to check out the impressive Hall of Gods, which features some of the most stunning ancient statues you'll ever see.

Relax on the Beaches

Antalya is known for its beautiful beaches, so make sure to pack your sunscreen and swimsuit. Some of the best beaches in the area include Lara Beach, Konyaalti Beach, and Olympos Beach. All offer crystal-clear waters, soft sand, and stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea.

Take a Yacht Tour

Consider taking a yacht tour if you're looking for a more luxurious way to explore the coastline. These tours range from day trips to multi-day excursions and offer the chance to see some of the most stunning scenery in the region. Plus, you'll get to enjoy delicious food and drinks onboard while soaking up the sun and sea breeze.

Try the Local Cuisine

No trip to Antalya is complete without sampling some of the local cuisines. Some must-try dishes include pide (a Turkish-style pizza), kebabs, stuffed grape leaves, and baklava. For a true taste of Antalya, head to one of the local markets and try some of the fresh produce, spices, and herbs.

Mount Tahtali Cable Car Ride

One of the most popular attractions in Antalya, a cable car ride to the top of Mount Tahtali offers stunning panoramic views of the city, coastline, and surrounding mountains. The ride up to the summit takes around 10 minutes and once you reach the top, you can enjoy a cup of coffee or tea at the summit cafe while taking in the breathtaking views.

Düden Waterfalls

Located just a short drive from Antalya, the Düden Waterfalls are a must-visit destination. The falls are actually two separate cascading waterfalls, the Upper Düden Waterfall and the Lower Düden Waterfall.

The Upper Düden Waterfall is located inland, while the Lower Düden Waterfall plunges into the Mediterranean Sea. You can view the falls from a variety of vantage points, including walking paths, observation platforms, and boat tours.

Visit the Perge

For history buffs, a visit to the ruins of Perge is a must-do. Perge was once an ancient Greco-Roman city that dates back to the 4th century BC. The ruins include an impressive Roman amphitheater, a stadium, a Roman bath complex, and a well-preserved agora (marketplace). A visit to Perge is a great way to experience the region's rich cultural history.

Turkish Night Show

For a fun and unique cultural experience, attending a traditional Turkish night show is a must-do. The show typically includes a delicious Turkish dinner, music, dancing, and even some audience participation. Shows are usually held at restaurants or hotels in the city and can be booked in advance through tour operators or directly with the venue.

Antalya Aquarium

The Antalya Aquarium is one of the largest aquariums in Europe, featuring over 40 themed tanks with a diverse range of marine life, from colorful fish to sharks and rays. The aquarium also has a 131-meter-long underwater tunnel, where you can walk through an underwater world of marine creatures.

There are also interactive exhibits and touch tanks, making it a great attraction for families with children.
